Philosophy & Approach
Every student is different, so we treat them as such.
Our sessions are tailored to each student's strengths, weaknesses, learning styles, and goals. Students will learn both strategies and content needed to be successful on the test of their choice. They will also take full-length tests at appropriate intervals to build stamina and help us gauge their progress.
The first step is a free consultation that includes a review of the student’s grades and past test scores to help us understand the student’s needs and create a roadmap for their prep.

Results
Results are not guaranteed, as they are dependent on student timeline, starting scores, goals, and commitment to assignments and practice, but our students will retrieve 60% of their points on average. For example, if a student starts at an ACT score of 26, they would have 10 points to retrieve for a perfect 36. On average, this student will increase their score by 6 points.
We prefer to talk in terms of point retrieval because everyone has a different baseline score, and improving by 100 SAT points is very different for a student starting with an 1100 than it is for a student starting with a 1400.
Student success stories
Adam A., Class of 2017
"I got into my dream school, Johns Hopkins, and my ACT score was one of the stronger parts of my application. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Sy. She even helped me with my college essay in her free time. That really meant a lot to me. Thank you, Sy!"
